Did you know that TSH doesn't tell the whole story about your thyroid dysfunction? Your thyroid gland produces primarily T4 which is the inactive form of thyroid hormone. The active form that your body uses is T3.
So how do you get T3?
Your body must convert T4 to T3 in body tissues like the liver and gut. Most low thyroid patients have low conversion rates and thus lower T3 than ideal.
And your TSH can be "normal".
If you gut is off, no drug will fix that.
